Before you connect
- Confirm the hostname or IPv6 address, port, username, and server time are correct.
- Verify that the server accepts SSH from your current network and that the account is allowed to open a shell or SFTP session.
- Compare the displayed host fingerprint with a trusted value from your server administrator. A changed fingerprint blocks the connection by design.
Authentication
SSH Console: Server Ops supports passwords, encrypted OpenSSH private keys, Ed25519/ECDSA/RSA-SHA2 public keys, and keyboard-interactive challenges. A passphrase stays in the device Keychain and is not sent to the developer. If multi-factor authentication is required, complete each prompt in the app.
Monitoring, Docker and services
Monitoring is read-only and depends on the account's permissions and the server's Linux tools. Docker and system-service controls appear only when the corresponding command is available and permitted. SSH Console: Server Ops does not use sudo automatically or modify server configuration.
Files and interrupted transfers
SFTP transfers use a temporary file and verification before replacement. If a transfer is interrupted, open the same path to review the checkpoint and choose retry or discard. Never send private keys or passwords to support.
iPhone and iPad backgrounding
iOS may suspend network sessions when the app leaves the foreground. If you use tmux on your server, reconnect and resume the remote workspace after returning to the app.
Contact support
Email xtm1820490838@iCloud.com with the app version, device model, OS version, a short description, and redacted error text. Please remove hostnames, usernames, IP addresses, fingerprints, tokens, passwords, private keys, and terminal output before sending.
Review access. If you are preparing an App Review test account, use an isolated server with harmless sample files and a separately created credential. Never use a production key.
